My October Fundraising Project

I am creating a new mime performance titled “Celebration of Life- Four seasons ” to debut Oct.25and 26 at The Dance Center Faris Studio. This will be a fundraiser for the BC Cancer Foundation ( Dr. Sam Aparicio’s Breast Cancer Research) and The VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation campaign to raise funds for the Dr. Patty Clugston Breast Reconstruction Program. The title “Celebration of Life” is because I would like to celebrate the first anniversary of major cancer surgery. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 at almost the same time I became a Canadian permanent resident. I owe a deep gratitude to the level of care I received through the BC Cancer Clinic and Dr.Clugston’s championing of immediate breast reconstruction following mastectomy.
